These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Anthos mobile application and related services (the "Service"). By downloading, accessing, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Accounts

You may need an account to access certain features.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account.
You agree to provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

2. The Service

Anthos provides plant-care features, which may include:

Plant identification and health/disease analysis (AI-assisted)
Personalized care schedules and reminders
Weather-based insights (when location is enabled)
Plant logs, notes, photos, and tracking tools

We may modify, update, or discontinue features at any time.

3. AI Features Disclaimer

AI-based identification and diagnosis are informational only and may be inaccurate. The Service does not guarantee correct identification, disease detection, toxicity assessment, or treatment recommendations.

You are responsible for verifying advice and using appropriate care, especially before applying pesticides, chemicals, or treatments. Anthos is not a substitute for professional horticultural advice.

4. Location & Weather Features

If you enable location access, the Service may use your approximate or precise location to provide weather-related functionality. You can disable location in your device settings; some features may stop working.

5. User Content (Photos, Notes, Plant Data)

"User Content" includes photos, plant data, notes, and anything you upload or submit.

You retain ownership of your User Content. By submitting User Content, you grant Anthos a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, process, reproduce, and display your User Content only to operate and improve the Service, including running AI analysis you request.

You represent you have all necessary rights to upload your User Content and that it does not violate any law or third-party rights.

6. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to:

Use the Service for unlawful purposes
Interfere with, disrupt, or reverse engineer the Service
Attempt unauthorized access to accounts, systems, or data
Upload malware or harmful code
Upload content that infringes intellectual property or violates privacy
Abuse, harass, or threaten others
Use the Service to build a competing product using our proprietary materials or by scraping/automating access beyond normal use

We may investigate and take action for violations, including suspension/termination.

7. Subscriptions, Billing, and Refunds

Anthos may offer paid subscriptions ("Premium").

Billing: Payments are processed by Apple App Store or Google Play (and may be managed with RevenueCat for entitlement syncing).

Auto-renewal: Subscriptions typically renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.

Manage/cancel: You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple/Google account settings.

Refunds: Refunds are handled according to Apple/Google policies. Anthos cannot directly issue refunds for in-app purchases unless allowed by the platform's rules.

Prices may vary by region and may change; changes apply at the next renewal where permitted.

8. Intellectual Property

The Service (including design, text, graphics, logos, and software) is owned by Anthos or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws.

You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes, subject to these Terms.

9. Third-Party Services

The Service may rely on third-party services (e.g., authentication providers, storage, analytics, crash reporting, weather data sources). Your use may also be subject to third-party terms. Anthos is not responsible for third-party services outside our control.

10. Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect and use data.

11. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time and may request account deletion as described in the Privacy Policy.

We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, if required by law, or to protect the Service and users. Where reasonable, we'll attempt to provide notice.

12. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." To the maximum extent permitted by law, Anthos disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that results (including AI outputs) will be accurate.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

Anthos will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, or goodwill.
Anthos's total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid to Anthos (if any) in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, or $50 if you paid nothing.

Some jurisdictions don't allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Anthos and its affiliates, officers, employees, and partners from claims, damages, and expenses arising out of:

Your use of the Service
Your User Content
Your violation of these Terms or applicable law

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will update the effective date and may provide notice in the app or by other means. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

16. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

17. Dispute Resolution

Any dispute will be resolved exclusively in the courts located in the United States, and you consent to jurisdiction there.
